Excerpt from my book
Foreward - Anger and Frustration

My book is called "Peace Of Mind". Peace of mind is my goal; some days I am more successful than others. I do know that this is a process but it has taken its toll, as any chronic stress does. I know I am doing the right thing in my heart and soul by caring for Niall at home there is no debate on that. However it does not stop the fear, anger and frustration that well up inside of me on a regular basis, and the continual emotional roller coaster, the pain of watching and, yes, waiting for the next thing to happen. The anger that arises when someone else tells me to 'live one day at a time' or, 'treasure the moment ' makes me want to yell out and ask if they really know what they are saying; have they had that experience of treasuring each moment or, is it just something they say to be nice? I want to scream at them in frustration 'I do know, and I do own what it is like to live in the moment and treat it as your last. I do, and treasure each moment'; but they are bittersweet. Niall has a saying,  'do you own what you are saying'. Many, including myself just say things that we have read or heard, just to fill the spaces of silence. I have to accept that this is the way people cope with other peoples anguish.
